Born and raised in New Hampshire, I moved to Boulder on a whim in 2004. I went to grad school, met my husband, and have been here ever since. I taught middle school and high school English and reading intervention before leaving the classroom in 2011 to stay home with my first daughter, which I did full-time until 2018. Currently, I work part time at Friends School and co-produce Listen To Your Mother, a local show featuring twelve writers’ original work about motherhood.

I write about the nuances of childhood, parenting, and some of what came in between the two. When I'm not writing, I like to cook, read, practice yoga, and spend time outside with my husband and our two daughters. Check back frequently and follow along as our family grows up.
