Born and raised in New Hampshire, I moved to Boulder on a whim in 2004. I went to grad school, met my husband, and have been here ever since. I taught middle school and high school English and reading intervention before leaving the classroom in 2011 to stay home with my first daughter. In addition to writing and parenting, I co-produce Listen To Your Mother, a local show featuring writers’ original pieces about various aspects of motherhood.

I write about the nuances of childhood, parenting, and some of what came in between the two. My writing has been published in Motherscope Magazine. When I’m not writing, you can find me justifying trips to Starbucks with my four year-old, reading Harry Potter to my eight year-old, and making lists of all the house projects I’ll do someday, when I’m not quite so tired. Check back frequently and follow along as our family grows up.
